DTE'S ERGONOMIC CALL CENTER IS "ACHIEVEMENT OF THE YEAR"

GRAND HAVEN, Michigan, February 11, 2005 - The newly renovated Southfield call center of DTE Energy has received the 2004 Achievement of the Year award for southeast Michigan from the International Facilities Management Association. The award was announced by Atlas Ergonomics, LLC (Grand Haven, Michigan), which provided the ergonomic system used in the award-winning facility.

"Our goal was to create a world-class call center," said Tony Tiderington, DTE Energy project manager. "The renovation focused on a change in layout, investing in new ergonomic products, and using the Atlas fitting, marking and training system."

Atlas Ergonomics, LLC provides data-driven, individualized tailoring of office environments to help companies improve productivity and reduce the spiraling costs of medical and worker's compensation claims.

Tiderington continued, "Within the first month of implementation, we have already seen a 32 to 65% reduction in employee-reported discomfort. We believe the changes will lead to improved productivity, absenteeism, employee morale, and a lower risk of injury."

"We are proud to be a part of the DTE Energy team and the effort invested," said Sherm Robbins, Vice President of Atlas. "Our system works in any office environment, but was designed with the unique challenges of call centers in mind. It allows employees to move between work stations, and easily recreate their tailored furniture settings. We applaud DTE Energy on their vision and commitment to the health and safety of their employees."
