ATLAS VP TO SPEAK AT THE NATIONAL PRIVATE TRUCK COUNCIL

GRAND HAVEN, Michigan, September 8, 2005 - Drew Bossen, Executive Vice President of Atlas Ergonomics LLC, has accepted an invitation to speak at the National Private Truck Council Safety Conference in Dulles, Virginia, on September 15th. The presentation "Ergonomics at the Crossroads" will address the immense challenge facing the trucking industry as it strives to create a safer work environment for its drivers.

Over the past 26 years Bossen has worked with a variety of trucking companies across the nation, assisting them with the care and management of injured drivers. More recently, Bossen and the Atlas team worked with one of the nation's premier transportation service providers to proactively reduce driver discomfort, injury risk, fatigue, and job dissatisfaction.

"Our goal was making the driver more comfortable and alert while they were driving," said Bossen. "We found that the answer did not require new products, but simply utilizing the ergonomic features currently available within the cab. Ironically, a driver in pain is often sitting on the solution."

The session will review the process used and the results achieved. As part of the process, discomfort data and related demographic information was collected on approximately 9,000 drivers. The presentation will review correlated risk profiles generated by the data and will offer solutions for consideration.
