Functional capacity evaluations
A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a physical test designed to measure an injured worker's abilities safely, comprehensively and objectively. Once understood, those abilities can be matched to the specific tasks of jobs.
Our goal is to get people back to work quickly and safely. An FCE helps us do so by aligning the abilities of the injured worker with the work at hand. It allows for a safe and predictable return to work.
When the FCE is complete: 1) the worker will understand his/her physical capacity, 2) the physician can feel confident in releasing the employee to work, and 3) the employer can match the physical capabilities of the employee to specific job tasks.
